JOANNE BALACHANDRAN

Jo has over 20 years experience within the healthcare industry since completing a BSc in Human Biology from Loughborough University. Jo's career in health started within the pharmaceutical and medical device industry working in a variety of roles gaining valuable experience in sales, territory management and marketing across primary and secondary care health services. Jo then completed a post graduate Diploma, gaining physiotherapy registration from the University of Brighton.
Since qualifying as a physiotherapist Jo has continuously provided private musculoskeletal physiotherapy under Oaklands Physiotherapy and has completed regular CPD trainings to keep up to date with latest guidance and evidence.
Jo has experience with supporting new service design, set up and delivery of first contact physiotherapy services and has experience working in this role for the Hythe and Rural PCN comprising of 6 GP practices. This role being the first point of contact for patients presenting to their GP with musculoskeletal concerns, assessing, triaging, advising and initiating onward referrals or investigations, as appropriate.
Jo has most recently gained valuable Paediatric Physiotherapy experience, gaining skills in hydrotherapy, managing complex paediatric medical presentations, supporting children with Autism, understanding and prescribing equipment, orthotic provision and treating long covid and chronic pain conditions.
Jo is a qualified APPI Pilates instructor for general pilates and specialist ante and post natal rehabilitation. She is trained in dry needling and acupuncture therapy for pain relief. Jo is studying towards a masters degree in advanced physiotherapy supporting advanced musculoskeletal assessment and treatment knowledge.
EVE DAVIES

Eve is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist working both within the NHS and private sector. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Eve gained valuable experience in a variety of specialist areas: Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Hand Therapy, Neuro-rehabilitation, Respiratory, Medical and Community Physiotherapy. Eve now specialisesin Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is currently working as a Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist at the William Harvey Hospital alongside her work with Oaklands Physiotherapy.
Eve has completed several post graduate courses to develop her management and treatment skills including APPI Pilates (Matwork Level 1 and 2), AACP Acupuncture and has a diploma in Sports Massage and Sports Taping through ProActive training.
In her spare time Eve enjoys playing Netball and Tennis and is also an LTA level 2 tennis coach. She volunteered at the London Marathon for several years, providing course side Physiotherapy treatments, which inspired her to run the marathon herself in April 2017 for Parkinson’s UK.
Eve has experience working with patients in rehabilitation post injury and the management of more chronic conditions to restore function, promote self-management and thereby enhance quality of life.
